32 weeks and May!

May was just as eventful as April, but with less pictures.  Perhaps we will slow down when we retire.

Biggest and most important thing that happened was that my Grandma survived a heart attack and is doing really well.  We are so thankful that her body and heart is strong and for modern medicine.  She's on some pretty amazing heart medication that should help tremendously.  She had the heart attack on her birthday May 24th and we have been joking with her that she just wanted to make a big statement on her birthday!  I can't wait for her to feel better and get her strength back.

Baby Sterner/32 Weeks

Baby Sterner is doing great!  I am really struggling with acid reflux this time and after the stomach flu and two days of not keeping anything down, our doctor ordered a quick sonogram to make sure that she was doing fine.  She scored an 8/8 on the biophysical test and we got confirmation that there is absolutely no correlation between acid reflux/heartburn and the amount of hair on a child's head.  Looks like she is going to have as much hair as her parents and sister did (basically zero).  Here are some pictures of her at 31 weeks.  I love this first one--if you can't make it out she is laying on her left side, looking at us with her left arm and hand rubbing her left eye.  Pretty full cheeks and lips!  We couldn't really get any good ones because she wouldn't take her hands away from her face.  The second one is the top of her head and you can see a minimal amount of hair on the back of her head and the third one is an upside-down foot.  We also got a quick picture not appropriate for the internet confirming for the third time, that Baby Sterner is a "she"!

My belly is incredibly large...like twice the size of another girl at my office who is due a month before me.  I asked the sonogram technician if Baby Sterner looked big and she said "not really", but that the size of my belly is related to the way she is laying and where the placenta is this time.  She is basically head down, but at an angle where her feet are under my right ribs.  Let's all encourage Ms. Sterner to change positions.  I'm down to a handful of shirts that are long enough to fit and everyone throws a look of terror at my direction when they hear I still have 7 weeks to go.

Baby Sterner got her very own luggage--her name is monogrammed on it already!
