8 Months

It has been a crazy couple of weeks!  We've been busy packing and taking care of a teething and sick baby.  That's right!  Bryn has her first tooth!  Picture, you ask?  Considering I have only felt it and have not been able to see more than a glimpse, no such luck!  I've had better luck getting pills down a scared 20 pound cat.  Perhaps this explains what I am saying better.

On top of teething, Bryn has had two ear infections, hand foot and mouth and most recently a cold since we last updated.  Between Motrin, antibiotic, boogie wipes, teething tablets and orajel, she is not letting us open her mouth to just look at her tooth and I don't blame her.  For those of you who are not parents and are completely grossed out...hand foot and mouth is a common viral illness in daycare babies.  It is not fun, comes with a fever and rash, but it is no way related to what cows get.

Anyway, Nick and I have gotten very little sleep in the last two weeks.  Less sleep than when she was first born.  If you happen to see us out and and we don't say Hi, it is just because we are sleep walking.  No offense intended.  Also, if you notice that Bryn is pretty energetic and happy when you see her, it is one of two things:  (1) she is well rested because when she is sick, she won't sleep unless she is being held . . . so we hold her  (2) mommy has cheated on her coffee intake while nursing so she can get through the day.  Wouldn't trade a minute of any of this for anything else!

Between the end of hand foot and mouth and the beginning of this new cold, we got professional pictures taken!  Very lucky with that timing.

Here is a sample from our photographer:

Grammy Sterner also got a couple of shots of her own during the photo shoot.  If these are any indication of what to expect with the photographer, I'm pretty excited.

Bryn has been doing some funny things lately, sick and all.  She is being very expressive.

Funny scrunched up face.  She likes to do this over and over in response to our laughter.

Serious, ready for a nap face.

Hiding her bottom lip.  Almost as common as scrunched up face.

Very serious, studious face.  This is how she looks when she is trying to figure something out.

"Surprised" face and "Oh, wait, that's a camera, I know what to do" face.

She has graduated to eating puff treats.  Kind of like cheerios, but they dissolve quicker.  She absolutely loves them. We've tried some other "finger food" suggestions and it hasn't gone well, so we will stick to the dissolving, albeit processed, food for awhile.  Here are some puff treats smeared on her happy face!  I didn't do it.

Another happy face.

Dancing in bouncy seat.  She's got moves!

Just chillin' in the highchair.  She sits with one leg up almost every time she is in it.  No clue why.

Our closing date is this Thursday and we will move most of our things this weekend.  E-mail with new address coming soon.  We've had a lot of help packing.

Here is Bryn hanging out in her new house.  Can you find her?

HINT

Last, here are her 8 month pictures.  Sleep sheep is packed.  Oops!
