Now, before you scroll down, a few things:
(1) These are kind of creepy. If you have never seen one before, it is normal for the face to look a little smushed and for odd blobs to appear in the picture. That is just the imperfection of the technology. Our baby does not have three eyes...we think.
(2) One may still argue that there is the same baby in every 3D sonogram picture across the country. At least we saw ours moving around in conjunction with the picture being taken, so we are pretty sure they aren't tricking us. But yes, if you have seen 3D sonogram pictures before and not of your own child, these will probably look the exact same to you as the ones you have seen. To us, they are of course, wholly unique and the most exciting thing ever.
(3) No, they did not mess up and tell us whether the baby is a boy or a girl. We're very sorry to all of our family members who are frustrated with us right now. Of the people who have looked at these already, I've heard two things: (1) "Baby looks like Nick." (I agree.) and (2) "Baby looks like a little girl." I find the combination of these two comments hilarious, of course.
Ok, here is Baby Sterner!
We had a difficult time getting good shots because baby wanted to put its hand on its face. S/he is a little camera shy.
The sonogram technician couldn't believe how active s/he was and how much s/he opened his/her mouth! It appears as if our little one is ready to eat.
We'll have to work on making baby's cheeks even more chubby soon!
Legs were politely crossed for the pictures.

We have around 25 more that we'll be happy to show anyone in person. They mainly consist of a hand in front of the face and the mouth opening and closing.
Surprisingly, the sonogram technician also said that the baby has hair! We would never have guessed that and I'll believe it when I see it.
In other news, we've hit the 30's, which sounds so much closer than the 20s. We are now seeing the doctor every 2 weeks instead of every 4 weeks.

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)See what your baby looks like this week.
